We at “Ullkorga” can have your mattress tailor made! This is said about the “Ullkorga” wool mattress: <BR>- “The babies sleep longer with the woollen mattress!” <BR>Wool produce a unique warmth, it absorbs humidity from the body without being clammy, and it feels warm even when it is humid or wet. A good airing of the bed bottom is required, and a not too high temperature in the bedroom. Do not use a plastic terry cloth on top of our woollen mattresses, as this will have a negative effect on the unique effects of the wool. <BR>Rather use a wool blanket as protection of the mattress. Our mattresses are are composed of interchangeable components, which are all washable. <BR><BR><B>Core:</B> <BR>Washed and carded wool which is padded to 100 % cotton fabric. The wool is sewed in checkered plates for optimal comfort. <BR><BR><B>Cover:</B> <BR>The padded cover fabric consists of two layers of 100 % cotton fabric, the outer layer is made according to “Eco-Tex Standard 100” Our cotton fabrics are not anti shrink treated, therefore they basically are oversized. Since cotton has a natural shrinking effect, the cover will fit perfectly after the first laundering. <BR><BR><B>Cleaning:</B> <BR>The mattress cover, made from 100 % cotton fabric, can be machine laundered at 60°C. The woollen plates can be machined laundered at wool program, using a neutral detergent, or it may be rinsed (see washing directions). <BR><BR>Standard heights of the mattresses are: For cradles and bassinettes: 5 cm; for beds: 10 cm and for perambulators: 3 cm. </p>
